The Village of Grosse Pointe Shores operates under a basic "Manager Plan", with the Village Manager overseeing the day-to-day operation of the community. The affairs of the Village are governed by an elected Council composed of a President, six Trustees and a Clerk, with the Clerk being the only member being compensated. In accordance with the Village Charter, the Clerk receives an annual amount of $100.
