Sec. 8-1.  Municipal judge.
The village shall hire, on a part-time basis, the municipal judge of any municipal court located within the 32-B judicial district, as established by state law, or such other active or retired judge as may be appointed from time to time by the state court administrative office, to hear cases involving the violations of the ordinances of the village and to assume all other duties conferred upon such court by law.
